Outreach Workshops

The Project

Outreach workshops

Short informative workshops as well as family afternoon events have been organised across the five project sites. The workshops aimed to achieve the following:

  • Inform members from the Moroccan community in the 5 project sites of the project, its relevance and encourage them to participate.

  • Create an opportunity for the fieldworkers to establish contacts with potential interviewees.

  • Encourage individuals both from the Moroccan community and the wider public to volunteer for the project.

  • Highlight the importance of reminiscence work amongst Moroccans by showing the work from other oral history community projects.

The workshops had a display of the project promotional material (video, leaflets, and posters). It also provided an opportunity for the children to do some art work on the project jigsaw installation.
