Outreach workshops

Short informative workshops as well as family afternoon events have been organised across the five project sites. The workshops aimed to achieve the following:

Inform members from the Moroccan community in the 5 project sites of the project, its relevance and encourage them to participate.

Create an opportunity for the fieldworkers to establish contacts with potential interviewees.

Encourage individuals both from the Moroccan community and the wider public to volunteer for the project.

Highlight the importance of reminiscence work amongst Moroccans by showing the work from other oral history community projects.

The workshops had a display of the project promotional material (video, leaflets, and posters). It also provided an opportunity for the children to do some art work on the project jigsaw installation.
